Miesha Theresa
Miesha Theresa Tate has been mixed martial artist for a long time. As a mixed martial art practitioner, she competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and is a former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. From her early school days her Tacoma native was extremely athletic. When she was a student at the Central Washington University, she began attending the mixed martial arts team when it was suggested by an acquaintance. In her amateur debut, she faced Elizabeth Posener (a Muay Thai expert) at age 20. After that, at the single-night event HOOKnSHOOT Women's World Grand Prix where she was able to make her debut as a professional. After two years, Tate became the FCF Women's Bantamweight Champion the very first time. Tate received praise and admiration because of her style of combat which was a blend of Brazilian jiu jitsu and wrestling. She gained a lot of attention by winning the 'Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Title' shortly following. Apart from her work in mixed martial arts she also has posed for a variety of publications and websites, such as 'ESPN The Magazine' and Fitness Gurls'. There is a character playable in the video game EA Sports UFC as well.
