Vinita Nair

The station was founded in July 2004, and has since reported on a wide range of issues, including her report on the Jon Benet Ramsey murder investigation as well as school shootings at Bailey, Colorado. Nair joined ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. Her responsibilities included anchoring live news coverage as well as briefings on ABC's digital channels. Nair was co-anchor of World News Now and America This Morning on ABC, from September 17, 2008 from September 17, 2008, until February 18, 2011. On both shows, she began her collaboration by Jeremy Hubbard. Later she collaborated with Rob Nelson. Nair announced on Thursday, 17th February 2011, the date for her final night working on broadcasting for World News Now would be on Friday, February 18th. The same day would also mark her final day at ABC News. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver was immediately her successor. World News Now, February 18 was a tribute to Nair.
