Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at the Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host who has spiky blond wigs and a pumped-up appearance, shares tips on how you can cook dishes that are restaurant quality in your home with simple techniques. Chef Burrell has worked and studied in the best New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. Burrell was born living in New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America has sparked her interest in managing restaurants when she received an English/Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had the most enjoyable time of my life. I couldn't seem to get enough out of the experience. Following graduation, Chef Burrell spent a time in Italy studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. Her time spent in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate Italian philosophy and culture, and this has left an impression on her food and culinary experience. Burrell was an Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board participant, with the goal of to improve the lives of children facing challenges. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation (JDRF) celebrity ambassador, and is a vocal advocate for awareness of childhood diabetes. She has been a frequent to speak at conferences and tours throughout the United States as part of her mentorship job. Anne has said throughout her professional career she's grateful to have the opportunity to be able to share what's truly important to her.
