Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter as well as mixed martial artist competing at flyweight of the UFC. Valentina Shevchenko who was a former UFC Flyweight titleholder and UFC friend of hers is her elder sister. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the competition and defeated Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko took home an additional medal in the year 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008, a gold in the year 2011, and won as the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in 2016. Antonia launched her professional career back in 2003. She has won several championships, including the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships and WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win with a majority. Antonina Schevchenko kicked off career-long MMA profession in the year 2002, with a win over Anara Baanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She took the win via a second round TKO, and then won 2 more fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to get a 3-0 record. Shevchenko had a brief break from MMA and concentrated on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by a majority vote and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. The promotion ended in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko wrestled Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina knocked out Nievera using her striking skills that were superior during the clinch final round by using knees on the body. Antonina was offered an UFC offer after her victory. Antonina was offered an UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko won the unanimous victory, however she was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi on an undisputed split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from losing and defeated Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submissions in the 2nd round. This fight earned Antonina the Fight of the Night bonus. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her subsequent three bouts. She beat Ariane Lipski, but fell to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina is currently being defeated by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
