Bashar Barakah (July 19th, 1999 - Feb. 19 2019, 2020) Professionally called Pop Smoke was an American rapper. Victor Victor Worldwide and Republic Records signed him. In collaboration with UK drill producer 808Melo Axl Beats and Yoz Beatz Pop Smoke rose to popularity for leading his own Brooklyn Drill sound. Welcome to the Party was the first single from his mixtape debut Meet the Woo, which he released in July 2019 In August, two remixes of the song Welcome to the Party featuring American rapper Nicki Minaj as well as British rapper Skepta released. Pop Smoke debuted his first mixtape Meet the Woo in 2019. In April, he released the single Welcome to the Party, the track that became his signature. In August of 2019, the song was remixed a second time, first featuring Nicki Minaj featuring and another time featuring Skepta. The song was noted to have song used UK drill production. This was later used in the entirety of his discography. This is due to his collaborations together with British producer 808Melo. In December 2019 he collaborated on Gatti with JackBoys and Travis Scott which is the closing track of the JackBoys (2019) album by Scott and Scott and his Cactus Jack members.
